Just as water’s basic structure never changes, so it is the same with the message of God. No matter how it appears -- be it through Song, Artistic Expression, Spoken Word, Dance or Drama it retains the basic intent and content which speaks to God’s Love.

The music of Michelle Lang and Still Water (MLSW) is a contemporary blend of R&B, Hip-Hop and Soul wrapped around a sound Gospel message.

MLSW originally formed in the spring of 2000. What started as a ‘one-time…just outside of town’ gig that turned into a rapid-fire series of spectacular, new and fresh performances throughout the Pacific Northwest and Nationally.

With this dynamically produced sequence their first CD – “The Still Water Theory” was launched. MLSW is a collection of singers, musicians, dancers and actors based out of Seattle, Washington. The members come from varying backgrounds, cultures, and denominations but they all share a commitment to God, the gospel of Christ and to excellence in performance ministry.

MLSW has worked diligently to create a ministry that calls on the talents of its members; each of whom have extensive backgrounds in youth and family ministry. Their ability to minister to the whole person even as they maintain God’s need for personal relationship creates an experience that reaches audiences of all ages. While the down to earth presentation of God’s word engages youthful audiences, the real life application and honest approach allows MLSW the unique ability to connect with adult listeners as well.

They are the KNHC 89.5 2007 recipient Best Contemporary Duo or Group. This is their second award for Best Group. They also received this award in 2006. They were the 2007 ITM Award Winners: Best Crossover and Best Collaboration, Duo or Group for their hit song Hero from the Paint project. They won the KUBE 93 Pre-Summer Jam Show in 2003 and have performed to a vast array of audiences from the 2006 Tom Joyner Sky Show in Las Vegas, the famous Beale Street in Memphis, TN and the Bumpershoot Festival in Seattle, WA to the quaint Single Mother’s Brunch and the raucous college weekend Band Fest! In addition to the many conferences and festivals MSLW is gaining national recognition with established Gospel artists. In April 2007 they were well received as the opening act for KiKi Sheard during her concert sponsored by New Jerusalem COGIC.

Michelle Lang is originally from Laurel, MS and is the founder and director of MLSW. She has an extensive background in Urban Youth Work and Training, Christian Community Development, and the Performing Arts. She is highly sought after for trainings, seminars, motivational speaking and concert production. Michelle has been described as “down to earth”, “passionate”, “focused”, “honest”, “intelligent”, “fun” and “amazingly quick witted”. This acclaimed and widely requested Writer, Producer and Director considers ‘friend’ and ‘Christian’ to be her greatest titles.
